Listen, Support, Empower
I have over 20 of experience in the counseling field. I have worked in the public schools as a school counselor and at a mental health clinic prior to opening up my own practice in 2019. I obtained a Master's degree in Mental Health and School Counseling in 2000 from South Dakota State University. I worked at the Boys-N-Girls Club, Castlewood School, and Lutheran Social Services in the past. Then in 2018 I earned a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of South Dakota. I have use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Reality Therapy along with other techniques. I have advanced training in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
I enjoy supervising counselor's for licensure and working children, adolescents, families, and individuals. I have been active in the South Dakota Counseling Association since 2006. It is important to me to give back to my profession.
